Details
[Edit]A fun ska band that was moderately big when the scene was still underground and continued on as the frat/ska bands had their 15 minutes of fame in the late '90s, Let's Go Bowling let loose with some jazzy horn arrangements and complex instrumentals on Mr. Twist. This is one of those bands that inspired the rude kids to get dressed up for the evening. Not all of their vocal numbers work. Some sound quite goofy. But there are two standouts, the Latin number "Cumbia del Sol" and "Uncomfortable Sidekick," a more politically correct, retitled version of their old hit, "Bitch." Otherwise, it's the instrumentals that place these bowling-shoe-sporting skankers a step above the other bands in this nearly phased-out scene.
