A year after his breakthrough Dirty South anthem "Southside" ravished the Third Coast and crept beyond, Lil' Keke returned with more of the same, namely a hot remix featuring the biggest down-South baller of all, Eightball. The song leads off It Was All a Dream, Keke's third album in three years, all of them underground. This one also features the Hot Boys ("Make Em Break It"), who were on fire at this point in the game, and also Cali Bay Area underground veteran B-Legit. Certainly on a par with Keke's comparable previous albums, It Was All a Dream is likewise hampered a bit from shoddy production that's a step below major-label quality, yet such is the nature of underground rap like this, so it's not much of an issue.
