Details
[Edit]Although she'd been active as one-third of the brilliant Trian, Chicago-born Celtic fiddler Liz Carroll hadn't recorded a solo album since 1988 until she released Lost in the Loop in 2000. Predictably, it's a showcase for her fabulous fiddle playing, but her backing musicians are high-caliber as well: Carroll is joined by guests like her Trian bandmate Daithi Sproule (of Altan) and members of Solas. It's a welcome return, and one that makes clear the reason Chicago mayor Richard Daley declared "Liz Carroll Day" following her festival performance there.
