Details
[Edit]The second Christmas jazz album by harpist Lori Andrews has her performing in a trio with Bart Samolis (bass and guitar) and Mark Hollingsworth (sax and flute). With the exception of Samolis' title cut, all of the songs are famous Christmas-oriented tunes, including "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Christmas Song," and "Winter Wonderland." The tempos are relaxed, the interpretations are melodic and respectful, and Andrews' beautiful instrument stars throughout. The music is restful, soothing, and just creative enough to always hold one's interest.
