[Edit]

Recorded on his 2005-2006 European tour, Live Power Trio is the third live album from French-Algerian guitarist and singer/songwriter Louis Bertignac, following 1993's Le Mediator and 1998's Bertignac Live. The two-CD, 27-track collection includes material from his time in Telephone ("Hygiaphone," "Un Autre Monde"), his two albums recorded with Les Visiteurs ("Reves," "Le Matin Au Reveil"), and his solo career, with tracks from his three studio albums, Elle et Louis, Bertignac '96, and Longtemps. Alongside several of his hit singles, there are performances of his Carla Bruni collaborations ("Sous La Pluie," "Les Froleuses"), and cover versions of Elvis Presley's "Blue Suede Shoes," the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" and the Rolling Stones' "Jumpin' Jack Flash." ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
