[Edit]This easily enjoyable video is a must for fans of Louis Jordan & His Tympany Five. Jordan, a fine altoist, was a particularly talented singer and personality who still appears "hip" 40 years later. This video features him performing 21 songs, all but one from the 1942-1946 period. The clips are taken from films, shorts, and soundies, and find Jordan doing most of his hits. Highlights include "Five Guys Named Moe," "Caldonia," "Let the Good Times Roll," "Beware," "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie," "Reef, Petite and Gone," and "Is You Is or Is You Ain't Ma Baby."
