Lowfish's Eliminator is an excellent contribution to the dance and electronic music genres collectively, which at any given time is overflowing with schlock art that's been passed off to the unsuspecting music buyer as music. Lowfish's Eliminator craftily blends a series of timbres that saw their vogue in the '80s into something new and cohesively whole. One of the things about Lowfish's Eliminator that makes it truly great is that it's not just a dance or an electronic record, but it takes its aesthetic from the best of both of those genres and creates a profoundly critical recording that widens the perimeters of dance/electronic music as well as placing Lowfish as one of the few truly gifted projects working on the outer periphery of the dance/electronic genre. Fans of Daft Punk's Discovery or of Solvent's Solvent City will really enjoy Lowfish's excellently produced and finely tuned Eliminator. Great work indeed!
