Lucy Rose is a singer/songwriter from Warwickshire, England, who served as a vocalist on two Bombay Bicycle Club albums (Flaws, A Different Kind of Fix) while playing out with her own material that she'd been writing for years. Signed to Columbia Records in the U.K., she recorded her debut album, Like I Used To, in the basement of her parents' country home. In the U.S., the album was held back so this EP could allow for her first exposure. "Middle of the Bed" is taken from the album, speaking of a love not quite gotten over, with a wispy acoustic guitar and a quiet, percussive groove running under Rose's weightless voice. The three remaining tracks are non-LP and vary from the full-band chime of "Scar" to the acoustic guitar–only "Gamble."
