[Edit]Having recorded four separate digital EPs that celebrate every collegiate’s favorite time of year, Luke Bryan has cleverly compiled these songs into a 14-track album. Spring Break…Here to Party is tailor-made for your jaunt to Cancun, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, or wherever you and the gang spend your midterm break. You can almost smell the coconut sunscreen when the catchy chorus of the opening “Suntan City” kicks in. The following “Just a Sip” cranks up the Telecasters for a country-rocking, drink-toasting jam, with beefy guitar riffs blasting under Bryan’s fetching good ol’ boy drawl. In “Buzzkill,” Bryan brilliantly pays ode to the token Debbie Downer, knowing full well there’s at least one in everybody’s social circle. Even though it’s presented as a heartfelt ballad with acoustic strumming and slide guitars, his lyrics hilariously paint the portrait of a pretty little headache who lives under a raincloud. Conversely, “Sorority Girl” muses on a Southern belle debutante gone party queen. “Take My Drunk A** Home” aptly bookends this compilation with a swampy hangover anthem.
