Details
[Edit]Lunascape's single for Mindstalking includes the regular radio edit as well as seven remixes. Progressive house producer Dave Audé contributes an eight-minute take, while the "Tapping the Vein" remix has a bottom heavy groove and pulsing rhythm track suggestive of Crystal Method. All of the versions splice pieces of Kyoko Baertsoen's main vocal as the remix centerpiece. There are two other tracks here, as well, "Lane Navachi" and "Yairo." The former is an exceedingly dramatic take on trip-hop, with layers of whispered vocals and urgent synthesizers over the loping beat; "Yairo" includes remix work from house DJ Nico Lombardo and a great vocal break from Baertsoen. "Mindstalking" overdoes it a little on the title track reworkings, but it still has value for Lunascape fans waiting for the duo's proper full-length to appear.
