[Edit]Latest and the Greatest is another solid piece of Luxury's retro-glam pop/rock, but whether it's as fabulous as it would like to be is really a matter of taste — portions of the record take the coy pop of bands like Komeda into almost unbearable kitschy territory, and a high tolerance for this sort of thing is pretty much necessary to getting any enjoyment from the release. Many of the group's glammier moves tend to wear thin as well — there's a continual sense of purposelessness to all of this ironic posing. Of course, for those that truly enjoy this sort of thing (and given its prevalence, there must be a good number of such listeners), Latest and the Greatest might well seem like a masterpiece.
