[Edit]Not counting compilations, La Terra Degli Aquiloni is Mango's 20th album, a characteristic collection of accomplished, romantic pop tunes. First single "La Sposa" is one of the three selections co-written with frequent collaborator Pasquale Panella, while the album's closer, "Il Rifugio," is the work of the renowned songwriting team of Maurizio Fabrizio and Guido Morra. All the remaining songs are by the singer/songwriter, with the exception of a cover of the Superman Lovers' hit "Starlight" and a flamenco version of the tango standard "Volver," presumably inspired by the one sung by Penelope Cruz in the Pedro Almodóvar film of the same name.
