She grew up to be a beautiful woman and a gifted singer, as well as a talented actress who has landed roles in several made-for-television movies. On this recording, she lends her vocal skills to numbers like "Slowly But Surely," "Help Me Get Over You," "What's in It for Me," "Let Me Be the First," "What's a Little Love Between Friends," and "Love Speaks Louder Than Words." With this release, Marie Osmond steps a little away from the pop-heavy country she normally leans toward, for a little more straight country sound. Steppin' Stone was the fifth solo album she completed.
