[Edit]Mario Ortiz continues with his unparalleled level of excellence as he heads into the newer romantic salsa trends. Oddly, the big band setup that was common in salsa could have seemed out of place in the genre, wherein the emphasis on syrupy lyrics and toned-down, uninvolving arrangements were the calling card of the time. Amazingly, that is found nowhere in this recording, where the old way is startlingly fresh and involving here. Anthony Cruz, Primi Cruz, and newcomer Nelson Rodriguez provide their vocals with uncanny taste and bravado.
