Teen Angel is a German bootleg CD that collects two of Mark Dinning's early '60s LPs (Teen Angel and Wanderin') and six bonus tracks on one CD. The disc was mastered from vinyl and sounds like it, but there is no legal Mark Dinning collection readily available (if at all). Only two of Dinning's four hits are among the 29 tracks ("Teen Angel" of course, and "The Lovin' Touch"), but the remainder is pleasant folk-pop comparable to Jimmie Rodgers (of "Honeycomb" fame). The eclectic material, from "Danny Boy" to Western classic "The Streets of Laredo" to Hank Williams Sr.'s "Ramblin' Man," keeps the precious pop approach from becoming too cloying, and a couple of the bonus tracks actually rock a little.
