[Edit]Though he came up in the '50s as a player in the enthusiastic European jazz scene, Weil spent many years on the business side of the recording industry. Now he returns with his vibe talent still quite strong. This disc is a pleasant mix of post-bop ("Off Base Next Case") with a funkier edge ("E-Mail Special") and some unashamed sentimentality ("That Certain Love Affair").
