[Edit]Multi-instrumentalist and composer Kolbe's pleasurable and smartly textured debut is another example of new age Mecca Narada's commitment to hip electro-pop fusion, in addition to their extensive catalog of acoustic music. A little more ambitious than most artists in the genre, Kolbe allows his compositions to stretch out and breathe freely (only one tune runs less than five minutes) without fear of rejection by tight radio formats. He also varies styles from hot synth and guitar ("Sound Man") to Eastern (with a sitar sound on "Jiban") and even employs orchestration on a few of the slower cuts.
