Details
[Edit]In his debut album, New Found Land, singer/songwriter Matt Auten shares his captivating guitar abilities and his mellow voice. Folk music lovers will enjoy the emphasis this album places on acoustic instruments. The downside to New Found Land is that there isn't much diversity to the songs. They all sound the same and unless one closely examines the lyrics, the music fades from one song to another without making much of an impact. If listeners make the effort to focus on the lyrics (and this will require some concentration), they will marvel at Auten's writing abilities. Each song causes one to take a deeper look at everyday events and discover a meaning in these events that may not have been visible before.
