Details
[Edit]After beginning her career as a frequent soloist for the Irish choral group Anuna and a cast member of Riverdance, Meav finally gets a chance to make her own artistic statement with this self-titled debut album, which features both traditional-style Celtic ensembles and sweeping, almost new-age orchestral backing. It isn't a purist's vision of Celtic music, but it demonstrates the versatility, taste, and beauty of Meav's voice, and it's overall quite a lovely recording.
