It’s the kind of thing that’s beyond criticism: it’s just a wonder to behold whether you wind up laughing or not, but old pro that he is, Tillis has some serious chops at spinning a story, so he might goad you into laughing whether or not his cornpone humor is up your alley. If there’s anything to be held against You Ain’t Gonna Believe This..., it’s that at an hour long it’s a lot to take in at one sitting, but listen to it in chunks and it can be a riot.
