[Edit]From a time when native peoples have played flutes to conjure dreams of the spirit world to Thoreau's playing the flute to the dancing of the fish in Walden, the flute has had close affiliation with the sights and sounds of nature. Now, Spirit Feathers, by Mesa Music Consort, combines the flute with the music of nature into one multi-dimensional recording. Music may prove the universal language between humans and nature and may best be exemplified in "Flight Of Beauty." Along with flute, Eric Casillas, Ben Tavera King and Joe Trevino of the consort provide nature's accompaniment with percussion and keyboards.
