[Edit]There are few more perfect idioms than the classic Cuban son. The blend of melody and rhythm, grace and drive, fire and elegance, flash and filigree, is unparalleled. Alas, it's also an old style, and rarely well-recorded. All of which makes this a jewel, even though it uses conjunto-style trumpets instead of the gloriously ornate solo septeto sound.
