[Edit]Mikkel Metal returns to Echocord after an excellent two-track 12" for Kompakt with another batch of ambient, dubby microhouse. At this rate, it shouldn't be too long before he's placed in the same context as Farben or even Rhythm & Sound, given that he seems to be doing more than staying true to the innovations of his inspirations. "Delta" and "Rodd" bookend the release with deliberate tempos and beautifully swelling waves of fragile hum. "Luomi" and "Brond," with relatively quickened tempos and more prominent rhythms, are more suited to dancing, but they're worlds apart from anything produced by Masters at Work or Blaze. The minute inflections and lack of bombast make the tracks emblematic of microhouse.
