[Edit]Mindy Smith continues to perform at a very high level in the folk-country-pop idiom, putting her impressive vocal pipes to effective use. For six years she recorded for Vanguard Records, releasing four albums that grew her audience to deserved proportions. This greatest-hits collection is heavy on her first album, One Moment More; it features six of its wonderful tunes, including "Come to Jesus," the title track, and her cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" (which impressed Parton herself). Four cuts from Long Island Shores (including the beautifully layered pop of "Please Stay") and three from Stupid Love are picked over anything from My Holiday, her album of seasonal cheer. Smith's cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Little Lies" had only been available as an iTunes exclusive bonus track. Now it's here, flowing among her many strong original compositions.
