[Edit]Coming out of Baton Rouge, Mista Cain has been doing his thing for a while now, running his own indie label and dropping projects like Cain Muzik Vol. 1, Cain Muzik Vol. 2 (G Sh*t for Dummies), and Lou Cain. Sounding not a little bit like Nelly, he's got a shapeshifting flow and melodic, sing-songy voice, supported by undeniably catchy, Mannie Fresh–influenced beats, overloaded with busy percussion and walls of keyboards. Lyrically, he's your typical Dirty South rapper, rhyming about life in the hood ("In My Ghetto"), steady making money ("Check Yo Pockets"), and having his way with the ladies ("Like My B*tch"). Various homies—Lil Ernest, Yung Pymp, Mouse on the Track, Lady Kym, Damecain—stop by to lend a hand, though Mista Cain himself remains in the spotlight throughout.
