[Edit]The most recent in this ongoing series dedicated to Egypt's greatest 20th-century singer/composer consists of music from a film, Youm Said. This is an early work, perhaps his first soundtrack. Both Abdel Wahab's singing and the accompaniments (despite a little accordion and piano here and there) were mostly far more traditional than his later movies. This was a significant transition period.
