Details
[Edit]With five records to their credit, it was high time for Monchy & Alexandra to put their names to a "greatest-hits" collection. With their popularity on the rise and their catalog getting too big for the average fan to afford, Exitos y Mas was certainly welcomed by both their friends at J&N Records and their adoring fan base. In a day when the majority of pop-bachata music is a New York product, and most of the listening public still resides in the Dominican Republic, the Santo Domingo-based Monchy & Alexandra are a much welcomed change. Their romantic, slick, well-produced sound continues to do amazingly well with stateside listeners as well, having reached Billboard's Top 200 with more than just one release. Though the product of a record-label petri dish, which for some is a serious strike against their legitimacy, the pair makes for a very cohesive duo. Their smooth, evocative voices blend as only those who've performed side by side together for years could. Exitos y Mas presents some of the best material, the duo at its best. For any who need reassurance, not a cut goes by without their spoken trademark, "Tu Monchy…y Alexandra!" ~ Evan C. Gutierrez, Rovi
