The best parts of Broke Pimpin' feature the kind of raw energy found on Outkast albums mixed with the trademark bounce of the Hot Boyz. Moochie Mack clearly has a knack for clever rhymes and storytelling. "Jack N Da Jacker" amply displays Moochie's sense of humor while tracks like "Ummmh Ha" and "Ghetto Bounce" mix everything from gospel and blues with good old Southern bounce. As a former radio DJ, Moochie Mack knows how to keep an audience interested, but the listless production on many of the tracks on Broke Pimpin' fail to match Moochie Mack's buoyant enthusiasm, making for an uneven debut.
