[Edit]Riz Maslen's debut Neotropic release fits snugly into the NTone catalog, with dubby beats and odd electronics dominating. Although Maslen skips from style to style on tracks such as "From Small Acorns" and "Here I Am," the overall effect is quite similar to Future Sound Of London (with whom Maslen has worked on occasion), with lush synth washes accenting lazy, weirded out beats and off-kilter samples.
