[Edit]Greg Kyryluk records his electronic space music as Alpha Wave Movement. For his rhythmic electro-tribal ambience, he records as Open Canvas. Indumani is his second release under that pseudonym. It is steeped in Middle Eastern and Indian instrumentation. Kyryluk builds his soundscapes on ethnic instruments and vocal samples. He augments the ethnicity with synth riffs and sequences. He blends traditional and contemporary rhythms to forge a unique hybrid. A heavy techno rhythm tops the soundworld nicely. This disc will appeal to fans of Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Jamshied Sharifi, Al Gromer Khan, and Robyn Miller. It is essential electro-tribal ambience.
