Insane Logic is quite different from Ozone Player's work that followed it, Videozone, but both of these recordings contain Ozone Player's idiomatic and distinct sound. Insane Logic has quite a bit of an electronic feel, as Ozone Player makes great use of all of the sounds that are commonly available to the electronic music artist. In a lot of cases electronic aficionados who are familiar with these sounds would be bored with the almost passé use of these overused sounds, but Ozone Player breathes new life into these sounds, which were fresh and new only a decade prior to this release. The advent of electronic music has, unfortunately, created a lot of schlock, and luckily that isn't the case with Ozone Player's Insane Logic. This recording in a lot of ways is like a long journey through some kind of ethereal netherworld that is created by a sort of sonic lushness and aesthetically decisive choice of timbres. Ozone Player's Insane Logic is a fantastic offering and every bit as good as any of Ozone Player's other work, thus making this record as good a place as any to start becoming familiar with Ozone Player's catalog.
