"One weekend. One band. David Jenkins, Steven Price, Cory Lerios, and Larry Antonio, also known as Pablo Cruise, converged on a small playhouse in Northern California to record their first-ever live DVD." And so begins Pablo Cruise's 2011 live set It's Good to Be Live, a punchy, professional stroll through the soft rock act's illustrious past, produced by their old producer Val Garay. With Garay on board, the set has the feeling of a reunion of old friends, an impression strengthened by the enthusiastic response of the live audience. Certainly, the audience for It's Good to Be Live, either in person or at home, consists of those dedicated fans who have stuck with the group over the years and never tired of hearing "Place in the Sun," "Love Will Find a Way," or "Whatcha Gonna Do." Those, along with 11 others, are here, all performed with a snappy professionalism that will appeal to the dedicated.
