[Edit]Recorded exclusively for iTunes at Hong Kong’s celebrated Avon Studios, this five-song EP demonstrates the range and expressive power of rising Cantopop vocalist Pakho Chau. The session opens with a pair of richly emotional covers—“天窗” (which was originally recorded by Joey Yung) and “到此為止” (from actress/singer Shiga Lin’s Movin’ On EP). Backed by a lilting string quartet, piano and acoustic guitar, Chau’s vivid renditions exude heartbreaking warmth and intimacy. The collection is rounded out by a trio of Chau’s own hits: “現在已夜深”, a serene, R&B-inflected reading of “Lovin’ U”, and a glowingly sentimental version of “我的宣言”.
