The self-titled debut album from singer and songwriter Pam Thum was released by Benson Music Group in 1993. As far as debut projects go, the album ranges in the average to good category, offering a few definite hits such as the radio single "Starting to Rain." However, it is not Thum's strongest effort. Vocally, her gentle and distinct voice compliments the project's upbeat CCM style. Songs range from the soothing piano ballad "If I Were," featuring one of the album's most tender melodies, to "I've Never Known Love," which opens with the clear, jazzy sounds of a saxophone and soon evolves into a duet with Clay Crosse.
