Details
[Edit]Patricia Spero is one of the world's leading concert harpists. Tim Wheater is a virtuoso on the flute. They perform together on Spero's Silk and Bamboo. This is a lovely cross-cultural CD. Spero performs her magic on the Chinese harp (cheng), Tibetan singing bowls, the zither, Tibetan prayer bells, and, of course, the concert harp. Wheater contributes his expertise on wooden and bamboo flutes. The heart and soul of this recording come from Spero's tenacity and dedication to bringing the ancient and the contemporary together. Wheater's flutes add class and integrity. This classic CD will appeal to fans of Lisa Lynne, Constance Demby, Klaus Wiese, and Forrest Fang. It is an important CD.
