Details
[Edit]Comedian Patton Oswalt has come a long way. From his early days opening for magicians (see track 17 on 2009's My Weakness Is Strong) to his star turn as Remy the rat in Ratatouille to jump-starting the tradition of comedians putting out albums again (this is his fifth in 10 years), Oswalt has earned a place on modern stand-up's Mt. Rushmore. In the years leading up to this recording, Oswalt got married and had a child. Rather than let domestic life slow him down, he's followed in the footsteps of peer Louis C.K. and turned it into some of his funniest material yet (on "I'm a Great Dad," he concludes, "My daughter is going to be … a slave to Thundra the Spear Mistress"). Elsewhere, Oswalt updates us on his lingering depression, flips the notion of selling out on its head, and tells the terrifying story of his experience with the world's oldest profession. Somebody carve this man's visage in stone (with a clown's nose on it, of course).
