[Edit]In his second album, Paulo Padilha (Aquilo Del Nisso's bassist) reveals himself as a strong Jorge Ben (yes, the Jorge Ben Jor of the '60s) disciple. Certeza features a variety of music styles: funk, soul, blues ("Não Vou Ficar" intro), reggae, samba, sertanejo ("A Fome"), coco embolado with a sensible touch of Jackson do Pandeiro ("Cachorro") with real brass attacks, and a bit of scratching and other contemporary gimmicks. This swinging album also has room for cooler grooves ("Mágica") and delicate, ingenuous melodies ("Nada Sei.") "Não Vou Ficar" (Tim Maia) is the only non-original, and a strong point is the presence of Jor's early supporting band Trio Mocotó (without Fritz Escovão), which really adds for that kind of dialogue between the '60s and the contemporary scene.
