Details
[Edit]Zoli Téglás, formerly of Ignite, takes over vocal duties from Pennywise's longtime singer Jim Lindberg, and the band rolls on without hitting a speed bump. Téglás brings a formidable new energy to the group and an enthusiasm that's palpable on melodic new tracks like "Let Us Hear Your Voice" and "Seeing Red," where he holds the notes until they resonate beyond their required station. Fletcher Dragge retains a smooth but aggressive guitar buzz that fires off power chords and quick riffs into truly panoramic stereo. It's what's made Pennywise legendary on the skate-punk scene, and it's why more than just punks should enjoy this music; it sounds great. Age hasn't slowed these veterans down, and their experiences have made them better informed songwriters who know exactly how to pace tunes and how to balance pop smarts with punk aggression. There's an excited edge to surefire anthems like "X Generation" and "We Have It All" and a simple beauty to "Tomorrow." The deluxe edition adds "We Are the Fallen" and "Locked In," two additional tunes worthy of the Pennywise name.
