Details
[Edit]Kalle is the leader of Empire Bakuba, one of the best soukous bands, but here he is joined by a wonderful all-star cast including Souzy Kasseya (of "the Telephone Song" fame) arranging and playing guitar, Nyboma (of The 4 Stars), guitar wizard Dally Kimoko, some of the Kassav' horns, and my favorite rhythm guitarist Lokassa Ya Mbongo. The songs are a little more polished than Bakuba's and a tad heavy on the synth, but they are absolutely charming and not allowed to overwhelm Kalle's beautiful voice. Oh, and one of the songs is a tribute to Camerounian soccer star Roger Milla.
