[Edit]Guitarist Phil Sheeran's performs ten Christmas songs on this CD in a variety of instrumental settings, ranging from unaccompanied guitar (for his own "Christmas Time Is Sleeping") to a quintet; among the other musicians are flutist Richard Warner, keyboardist Gregg Karukas and pianist Phil Markowitz (who duets with Sheeran on "The Christmas Song"). The overall treatments of songs including "Silver Bells," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" are tasteful if lightweight, resulting in high-quality background music.
