Details
[Edit]Phong Sui's "Wintermute" first appeared on the Teil 1 compilation, the first release from the Leichtes Horen label. On the A-side, the original — a charming dream pop tune with a Modernist-like thrust to it — is included with an inferior new production that isn't much different in structure. The two remixes, however, make the release. Superpitcher's take transforms the original into a gliding near-shuffle, while reducing the vocals to vapor. The remix from J. Burger and Wolfgang Voigt (making it a low-key Burger/Ink reunion of sorts) turns it into a light stomper, with the vocals kept intact and a light flicker of guitar played up to good effect.
