[Edit]This brief and soothing ten-track set finds a group of anonymous piano players known as the Piano Tribute Players tackling instrumental piano versions of some of John Lennon's post-Beatles songs. It will come as no surprise that songs like “Imagine” and “Beautiful Boy” retain (and at times even refine) the natural grace and melody of the Lennon originals, while others, like the version here of “(Just Like) Starting Over,” re-reveal how much pure talent Lennon had when it came to writing a timelessly perfect melody — Paul McCartney wasn’t the only one out of their songwriting partnership who could do it.
