This short-lived U.K. group fused punk, funk, Afro-beat, and ska to great success on a series of singles and their excellent debut album. For their second outing, the addition of Angela Jaeger, an acclaimed New York jazz singer previously of the Drowning Craze, saw a transition from an underground punk-funk group to a more confused amalgamation of styles. The underground hit "Hit the 'O' Deck" had marginal success before the band split and splintered off, with Angela Jaeger and Simon Underwood forming Instinct. Y Records released two posthumous albums: Pigbag is a collection of live recordings and Favorite Things compiles singles, album tracks, and B-sides which chronicle the groups higher points. This album lacks the crazed tension and groove of their debut in what sounds like an attempt to maintain a fading energy.
