Details
[Edit]Virtual rock duo Prozzäk is a novelty band comprised of two animated characters, Simon & Milo, in the tradition of the Archies and Josie & the Pussycats. But Prozzäk isn't exactly bubblegum pop, it's pop-disco/techno. Simon sings in a broad English accent and the songs are adult in content as the characters go looking for love in all the wrong places. There's a Right Said Fred send-up, "I Like to Watch, " and the Brazilian-flavored "Shag Tag" (You're It!)," and a deadpan techno update of the standard "Wild Thing." Obviously, some very clever minds went to work on this project: The songs were written and performed by Jason Levine and James McCollum of Toronto's Philosopher Kings. Kids might think Simon & Milo are cute, but Prozzäk is about as much for children as is the film Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. As for adults, the thump-thump-bumpity-bump wears thin pretty quick.
