Details
[Edit]A new group that unites Christian rappers PRo, Chad Jones, Canon, and Tony Tillman (previously known as Brothatone), RMG takes four emcees from four different places (Chicago, Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan) and brings them together for a sort of holy hip-hop supergroup. Released via their own label (Reflection Music Group), Welcome to the Family sounds like most modern-day commercial rap (skittering post-crunk snares, busy synth lines, chanted/sung hooks, Auto-Tune post-production, etc.) but with a heavy emphasis on living right and unwavering faith in the Lord. It's sprinkled with guest appearances from ZG, eYe-Q, Tiya, Natalie Villa, and Tiffany Michelle. Check out "Geeked Up," "Paparazzi," the technology-questioning "Does Not Compute," and the guitar-laced "Somebody to Love."
