Her first gospel record in four decades of making music, Sing It Now is Reba McEntire’s double-length tribute to her faith. On the first half, she tackles classic hymns, giving an R&B feel to "Oh Happy Day" and a bluegrass tinge to "Amazing Grace," while the second half sees Reba singing newly written spiritual tunes. The bouncy, jubilant "I Got the Lord on My Side" and the power-ballad title track feature contemporary country production, but the lyrics pack a timeless message.
