[Edit]On his third album in as many years, the young singer and songwriter Regulo Caro has avoided the traps of many artists from his generation of Regional Mexican music: he has remained fully grounded in the traditional corridos, conjuntos, rancheras, norteños, and bandas that defined previous generations, even when he employs modern technological touches as he does on "Antrax Voy, Antrax Me Soy." Caro is a supreme melodist, as evidenced here on "Anoche Te Soñé," "Escudo del Chavo," the title track, and the gritty narcocorrido "Los Pasajes del Terrorista," a banda written before he recorded his debut album, but which is making its debut here.
