[Edit]Ruca VanDunem and Ricardo "Papin" Abreu, two of Angola's most revered musicians, combine here for sparkling Angolan pop that is dancefloor magma all the way. Paulo Flores, one of the invited artists who appear on this recording date, starts the album off with his plaintive, sensual voice on "Garina," a track that has a ember-like intensity burning under the dancer's feet. On the title track, Eduardo Paim, another of the invited artists, has a similar sensually drenched voice, and the track moves with a momentum that carries the swing right to those hips on the dancefloor. "Manha de Domingo," with its monster basslines and darkness, is another power track that was a huge hit in Lusafrican circles. There are also a couple of engaging instrumentals on the album that are colorful, dynamic, ambience-creating pieces. This is music that drives dancefloor movement and hypnotizes the listener. Angolan music at its best. Highly recommended.
