[Edit]Although released on the Inside Memphis label, a company that mostly released new blues dates and jazz and blues reissues, this set falls into the area of contemporary folk music. Klaudia Ploderer (who is heard on a variety of instruments) has a lovely voice, guitarist Rico Heard is the main instrumental voice, and they are joined by a quartet (violin, organ, drums, and sometimes mandolin or sitar) called the Flying Helmets. With the exception of three songs (including one apiece from Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan), the music was co-written by Ploderer and Heard. There is not much here that causes At the Same Place Twice in Life to stand apart from the crowd of folk/light rock recordings, but the overall music is sincere, intelligent, and pleasing.
