Yearning for the Bell, Vol. 1 is a set of deep relaxation pieces by Riley Lee on the shakuhachi. He is one of the premier Westerners performing on this Japanese flute. He creates kind and gentle atmospheres that soothe the soul. This music, while certainly not mainstream, is certainly music of which the world needs more. If all of the world leaders were to sit around listening to this, some crystal bowl CDs and some Celtic harp discs, they would make great strides toward massive problem solving. This CD will appeal to fans of Jim Cole, Klaus Wiese, Mathias Grassow, Life in Balance, and Crystal Voices.
